Emmerdale has aired explosive scenes recently involving Ella Forster and Chas Dingle.
The drama unfolded last week during Chas and Liam Cavanagh's surprise engagement party, which Ella, Liam's ex-girlfriend, unintentionally crashed.
The situation escalated when a drink spillage sparked a public argument between Chas and Ella. In last Wednesday's episode, Chas collapsed and was later revealed in hospital to have been spiked, with Ella being blamed for the incident.
During Tuesday's hour-long episode, Ella was determined to prove her innocence, claiming that Chas had set her up. In tense scenes, she pleaded with Liam to believe her, suggesting that Chas might be addicted to painkillers.
This left the newly-engaged couple frustrated with Ella's meddling in their relationship. On Friday's episode of Off Script... Coronation Street & Emmerdale with Kelvin and Liz Fletcher, the duo showed a first look teaser clip of upcoming Emmerdale scenes.
In the spoiler video, it sees Chas furious as she accuses Liam of cancelling their wedding at Take A Vow with a confused Belle Dingle checking details.
As they look at the email address used to cancel the wedding, Liam points out it's got a different spelling to his usual name and email address.
The doctor is left baffled saying: "Who would do that though?" to which Chas says: "Who do you think? It's Ella!" as Liam replies: "Okay, darling, I understand how upsetting this is for you..."
However, Chas is left furious as she warns: "Really, do you really? Because it's me who she spiked, it's me she's got it in for, we all know what she's capable of! She's never going to let us be happy, is she, until she gets what she wants."
After the clip, Kelvin, who previously played Andy Sugden on Emmerdale from 1996 to 2016, shared his theories as he insisted: "Well, I'm team Ella, so don't be saying it's her!"
He added: "Yeah, it's not her, definitely not, there's something about Liam..." while Liz shared her theories with: "It's John, it's John! I bet it's John, he's trying to book it for him and Aaron."
This coincides with viewers' thoughts too. As Ella continues to maintain her innocence, viewers are speculating that she may be telling the truth and the real culprit could be John Sugden, the partner of Chas' son Aaron Dingle.
Soap fans have been raising eyebrows at the actions of John, whose inability to connect with Chas became more concerning after she fainted and he rushed to her aid.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
