Recently, Dawn has been embroiled in an affair with Joe following his return to Home Farm last December.
Unbeknownst to Dawn, Joe has been covertly seeking a kidney transplant due to health complications.
After discovering that half-brother Noah Dingle wasn't a match, he orchestrated a stabbing incident involving his uncle Caleb Milligan to procure his kidney.
Following the operation, he retreated to Dubai for recovery, leaving Dawn heartbroken over his sudden disappearance and lack of contact, reports Leicestershire Live.
Joe made a comeback to the village on Friday, determined to win back Dawn. In Wednesday's episode, Dawn finally chose between Joe and Billy, opting for Joe.
She confessed she no longer loved Billy and planned to break the news to him the next day, cautioning that "all hell is gonna break loose".
However, Joe remained unfazed, emphasising their mutual love as the only thing that mattered.
Fans took to social media to express their doubts about Joe's sincerity, suspecting he's exploiting Dawn, step-daughter of Kim Tate, to secure Home Farm for himself.
One viewer speculated: "I think Joe is using Dawn to get his feet firmly under Kim's table. Dawn is her step daughter, so no matter how much Kim distrusts Joe, she will allow him and Dawn to stay.
