An East Belfast man is to appear in court later this month as he faces nine allegations of sex offences against two children.
A preliminary enquiry has been scheduled for Laganside Magistrates Court as William Maher of Kings Brae is set to be prosecuted for seven counts of sexual communication with a child under the age of 16 and two counts of inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The alleged offences are claimed to have taken place between September 1, 2021 and May 24, 2022, against two children.
Maher had been working as a primary school teacher in the East Belfast area at the time.
