Eamonn Holmes 'won't speak' to Mr Motivator who says he would help him with mobility issues

An 'old friend' of Eamonn Holmes has said he would be up for helping him with his mobility issues.

The Belfast TV presenter has been battling with chronic pain, often seen using a wheelchair or mobility scooter to get around due to the intense discomfort he experiences.

The former This Morning host has been candid about his struggles following surgery last year to fix three herniated discs, revealing that he had lost proper function in his legs and sometimes needed a mobility scooter for assistance.

'90s fitness icon Mr Motivator, also known as Derrick Evans, who worked with Eamonn on GMTV from 1992 to 2000, spoke exclusively to the Daily Star about how he could help his former colleague but Eamonn 'won't speak to him'.

Reflecting on Eamonn's situation and their past rocky relationship, said: "I think everybody has to make a decision when the time is right in their life, after we leave it too late, which, again, you can see the relationship here with the HomeServe campaign I'm working on, because if you leave and neglect, that's what happens if there's a price to pay.

"But Eammon doesn't speak to me so on that basis, I'm probably the wrong person for him," before adding, "You can take a donkey to water but you can't make it drink."

He continued: "There are so many people in television, you think they're your friends and when you're not on television, they've disappeared.

"One thing for me that was really important in my time at GMTV was to show my appreciation to everybody.

"And I used to rent out a nightclub, and I used to throw a big party once a year, because they were all a part of my journey."
