TV presenter Eamonn Holmes has said ‘pray for me’ as he posted a poignant message on Instagram about his health troubles. The GB News host and former This Morning star has been suffering from serious back problems for some time.

Years of chronic back pain started in spring 2021 with it becoming so severe that it left Eamonn, 65, reliant on a walking stick. He eventually discovered it was three slipped discs that affected the movement of his right leg.

Followers rushed to support him with one saying: “I used to suffer a lot with back pain too. Often these things are stress related. Theres a book called “Your body speaks your mind “ by Deb Shapiro it’s really interesting Wishing you well. Things will improve xx” Eamonn replied: “I hope so.”

Another follower said: “Sending you a massive love hug and hoping that things improve for you very soon you treasure of a man,” One said: ”Sending positivity your way. You’ve got this, Eamonn.”

In his pursuit of recovery, Eamonn has put his body a number of different programs including regular physiotherapy and ice-cold showers. Recent snaps captured the TV presenter working with a physio using two crutches initially and then a wheelchair.

Photos also showed the star utilising a mobility scooter while holidaying in the US. However, the broadcaster’s recovery has been slow and he expressed fears that he may never walk unaided again. “I have tried every treatment but you go: ‘Maybe I’ll never get out of it,’ which is a harsh reality to face.”
