Eamonn Holmes 'furious' as Ruth Langsford moving on and 'excited for new man'

Ruth Langsford is reportedly embracing life after Eamonn Holmes, leaving her ex less than thrilled. The pair, who surprised their fans with the announcement of their separation in May, are navigating new waters as Loose Women star Ruth looks forward to a fresh start.

Sources close to Ruth claim she's told pals that "life begins after divorce," and she's keen on beginning her next chapter as her divorce from Eamonn Holmes approaches completion. Yet, her apparent readiness to move on is said to be causing Eamonn feelings of "anger and jealousy."

An insider this week revealed: "Ruth's sass is definitely back. She's ready for exciting new adventures and a new man – if and when it's on her terms – but for now, she's not overly fussed about jumping into anyone's bed but her own. Girls' nights out and piña coladas are filling the void. Her friends are like her armour and they give great advice.

"Eamonn is just angry and jealous – he's brought this all on himself but Ruth is keeping dignified," they added to Closer. Meanwhile, Eamonn was reportedly left feeling "seething and hurt" by Ruth's decision to appear on I'm A Celeb.

A source claimed Eamonn is 'seething'

Despite Ruth, 64, being all smiles upon her arrival in Australia earlier this month for the Unpacked spin-off, Eamonn was allegedly far from happy about her journey, reports the Mirror.

Another source commented: "Eamonn is seething about Ruth going to the jungle as she never wanted to go away with him. She told him she hated flying! He'd always dreamed of taking her on some special trips, places they could explore and enjoy together, but every time he suggested it, she shot the idea down.

"Now, all of a sudden, she's more than happy to hop on a plane for 22 hours each way to the other side of the world! It's left him feeling completely baffled and a bit hurt, to be honest.

"It's rubbed him up the wrong way because it feels like she's willing to do it for the show but not for him," a source revealed to The Sun. Following their unexpected decision to end their 14-year marriage, the couple is reportedly aiming for a swift divorce in the new year.

Another insider told The Sun: "The aim is for Eamonn and Ruth to resolve their divorce as quickly as possible in the New Year. Ruth is keen to stay in their marital home as it is where she is settled. Eamonn, on the other hand, wants to get out and make a fresh start. They aren't dragging their heels and want this settled and done as quickly as possible."

In the meantime, Eamonn and Katie have sparked wedding rumours following a recent trip to Paris. The pair were snapped outside the Louvre last week, with Eamonn in a mobility chair and Katie sporting a faux leather coat.

Katie was also seen wearing a sparkling ring on her engagement finger, fuelling speculation that Eamonn may be planning to propose.

Lawyers for Ruth are gathering evidence about Eamonn's romance with Katie and building a precise record of the relationship's timeline in preparation for divorce talks. According to a source: "Ruth's legal team are compiling a forensically detailed account of Eamonn's relationship with Katie and when it started. Ruth's team are doing their due diligence ahead of the divorce proceedings. They are prepared to speak to people in Ruth and Eamonn's wider circle."

The insider said: "Katie and Eamonn have been scrambling around to tell their respective exes that they were not romantically involved way back then."

To manage her divorce, Ruth Langsford has partnered with Catherine Costley, a well-known lawyer who charges £400 per hour and has experience working with high-profile clients.

Mirror Online has contacted representatives for Ruth and Eamonn for comment.
