Originally scheduled for release on November 3, the highly anticipated sci-fi film was then moved to March 15, 2024. Now, it has been shifted slightly to March 1, 2024. Two weeks isn’t much, but it’s better than nothing.

The original move was largely in response to the then ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike which would’ve stopped the film’s stars such as Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya from promoting the film. Of course, that strike is now over, and so things in Hollywood are slowly starting to get back to normal.

March 1 was originally the release date for The Fall Guy, the big-budget action film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. That film has since to early May, because another film - Deadpool 3 - moved into July. That left a huge opening at the beginning of the month and so now, we’ll be returning to Arrakis a bit sooner than previously thought.
