REXBURG — Police are asking for your help in identifying a suspect who reportedly stole 365 pounds of dumbbells from an apartment complex gym.

According to Rexburg Assistant Police Chief Gary Hagen, the theft occurred on Saturday at around 6:30 p.m.

A Facebook post by the Rexburg Police Department says the suspect is Caucasian, between 6 foot 1 inches and 6 foot 5 inches, and was wearing bright blue Hoka running shoes.

“If you’ve seen anyone with arms suspiciously bigger than usual OR a stranger strolling around town in neon shoes looking like they could bench press a small car, please let us know!” says the post. “Officer Correa would like to explain to this dumb(bell) thief that’s not what FREE weight means.”

Police did not provide an address for the local apartment gym.
