Crashes occurred miles apart in Seminole County, stolen car found without anyone inside, according to law enforcement officials
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A driver was involved in two hit-and-run crashes in a stolen sedan on Saturday in Seminole County, according to law enforcement officials.
One of the crashes occurred around 9:50 p.m. on County Road 46A and Interstate 4 in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the stolen Honda Accord was traveling west on CR-46A , approaching the eastbound entrance ramp to I-4, troopers said. After running a red light, the driver of the stolen sedan collided with a VW Jetta, being driven by a 20-year-old Deltona man, that was turning left on a green light. The driver of the Accord then fled the scene, the FHP said.
The Deltona driver and his passenger were not injured and remained at the scene, troopers said.
