Declan Devine was left to count the cost of Glentoran's dramatic late draw with Ballymena United on Tuesday night.
Joe Moore's stoppage time goal pegged the Glens back in a game they looked to be heading to three points in.
Christie Pattison put the visitors ahead before the hour mark but they failed to kill the game off before the Sky Blues late resurgence earned them a share of the spoils.
While Devine was frustrated to see his side let slip of two points so late on he refused to criticise them, however he did vent his annoyance at the tackle from Alex Gawne which led to goal scorer Pattison being forced off with an injury along with knocks to two other key players.
"I think the tackle on Christie is a really bad one," said the Glentoran boss. "I get that sometimes you have to take a yellow card for the good of the team but it has left us now with a player who has picked up a nasty enough injury.
"Dylan Connolly also rolled his ankle and Joe Thomson has a bit of a niggle as well but it is what it is. This is when you need your squad and we have players hopefully coming back for Friday.
"It's the nature of this league when the games are coming thick and fast you're going to pick up knocks."
On the game Devine added: "It's a tough one to take but the biggest disappointment is we had opportunities to kill the game off and we didn't take them.
"You know when there's only one goal in it you're going to face an avalanche of long balls into your box and we didn't deal with it as well as I would have liked.
"But I can't fault the players, I thought we were the dominant team and we had two or three chances to put the game to bed. And even when it goes 1-1 deep in added on time we had a couple of chances to get the winner.
"That epitomises what this group is about, they keep going and going to the death. They are hurting in there but they should take great pride of the effort and application they've put in over the last few weeks."
