Death of woman in Newtownabbey area being investigated by PSNI

Police are investigating a woman’s death in the Newtownabbey area, it has been confirmed.

In a brief statement issued on Tuesday evening the PSNI said they investigating the circumstances of the death but did not elaborate.

An image from the scene shows police vehicles at an alley way in the Woodland Crescent area which has been sealed off with police tape.

The PSNI said: “Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman at a property in the Woodland Crescent area of Newtownabbey this morning, Tuesday 4th March. Cordons are in place.”
