Police are investigating at 400 block of Hudson Street

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A person was shot in Daytona Beach on Wednesday evening, leading to a homicide investigation, according to the police department.

Police told News 6 around 9:56 p.m. that they were “working an active scene” in the 400 block of Hudson Street involving a person who had been shot.

At 10:44 p.m., police announced that they were now working on a homicide.

As a result, police urged drivers and residents to avoid the area as the investigation takes place.
