Corrie fans reckon they've sussed out the next resident of Number Six.

Iconic since its 1990 debut on the street, that house has waved goodbye to an array of occupants over time. Steph (Amelia Bullmore) and Des Barnes (Philip Middlemiss) were the first to make it home as newlyweds back in '90, with Des staying on with second wife Natalie Horrocks (Denise Welch).

The property has welcomed other memorable names such as Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward), Corrie stalwart Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), and of course, The Windass clan with Anna (Debbie Rush) and Gary (Mikey North).

Until recently, the pad was Yasmeen Nazir's (Shelley King) domain, which she entered back in 2014. But early this year, after hefty Weatherfield tenure, Yasmeen bid adieu.

The house could be getting a new owner

Fans will recall she left for London, following a new job at a charity, auctioning off her Speed Daal shares and her home to boot, reports Leicestershire Live.

Yet, there's chatter amongst the fans about the newest character to take up residence—and they're pointing to a comeback kid.

A snap without the 'For Sale' sign on a fan page on Facebook spurred some juicy speculation.

Coronation Street fans saw one resident exit the cobbles on Monday night after 11 years

Yasmeen left the cobbles this year

"Number 6! No for sale sign anymore...," posted one eagle-eyed visitor to the set. Before you could say 'hotpot,' fellow fans were buzzing with guesseS.

And the hot favourite is none other than Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), who's rumoured to be returning to those famous cobbles after seven years away.

Fans reckon Eva will be the new owner

One fan speculated: "Eva? A third chimed in: "Definitely!" Echoing their thoughts, another person penned. "There's talk of her taking over rovers but she could move in number 6. ".

Rumours of Eva's comeback first started circulating earlier this year. Her last appearance was in 2018, when she moved to France with her mother, Stella (Michelle Collins), after the tragic death of her ex Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward).

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
