Coronation Street viewers have been left on tenterhooks as Debbie Webster, played by Sue Devaney, faces a health scare. The character has been experiencing worrying symptoms such as fainting spells and forgetfulness, leading her to seek medical advice.

In Wednesday's episode (April 9), the hotel owner revealed she had been feeling out of sorts, with flashbacks showing previously unseen concerning symptoms.

Debbie recounted her recent unexplained collapse and subsequent disorientation, along with finding her lost purse in the fridge - an incident for which Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) was wrongly accused.

She also lost her temper with her nephew Jack (Kyran Bowes) after he got into a fight at school, throwing his game console controller at the wall in an uncharacteristic display of anger that left the teenager upset.

Meanwhile, Debbie's beau Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) was at The Rovers Return Inn enjoying a game of darts when he revealed his intention to propose to Debbie, openly declaring his affection for her.
