Fans of Emmerdale and Coronation Street should brace themselves for another schedule reshuffle this week, as confirmed by ITV.
Coronation Street will be broadcast at 9pm on Thursday (April 3), a departure from its usual 8pm slot on Friday (April 4).
Emmerdale is also set to air earlier than usual at 7pm on Friday, making room for the UEFA Women's Nations League match between England and Belgium.
Both soaps are scheduled to return to their regular time slots on Monday (April 7), with Emmerdale airing at 7.30pm and Coronation Street following at 8pm.
This news may ruffle feathers among soap fans, who experienced a similar schedule disruption just last month due to the World Cup Qualifier, reports Leicestershire Live.
However, all episodes for this week are already available to watch on ITVX, promising plenty of drama in both Weatherfield and the village of Emmerdale.
In Weatherfield, Dee Dee Bailey's (Channique Sterling-Brown) family are granted permission to visit her. However, tension arises when James Bailey (Jason Callender) expresses his desire to name the baby Laila.
With the men out of the house, Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) is taken aback when Dee-Dee reveals she has undergone an emergency hysterectomy and will not be able to have children. Ed urges her to carefully consider whether she can give up her baby, a revelation that could potentially change everything for James.
Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) pays Dee-Dee a visit to share the good news about little Frankie's successful operation, but is taken aback by Dee-Dee's reaction.
In a pivotal moment, Dee-dee reaches a conclusion about Laila's fate, while James receives a potentially game-changing text.
Meanwhile, in Emmerdale, Ella Forster (played by Paula Lane) steps up her campaign of harassment, seemingly sending an email to cancel the wedding of Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
A distressed Liam contacts the police, but PC Swirling informs him they can't take action until Ella is located. The tension escalates when the pub window is shattered, with Ella secretly observing as Liam and Chas secure it.
Coronation Street is on ITV at 8pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and available to stream from 7am on ITVX and Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
