Conor McGregor has been informed that there's 'not a hope in hell' of him securing the position of Irish president.
The Dublin native is insistent on running for Áras an Uachtaráin later this year, despite it seeming 'almost impossible' for him to even secure a nomination, let alone win the election.
Sky News has published the results of a survey they conducted involving 104 TDs and 30 senators.

The feedback included a range of comments from "not a hope in hell" to "I could not think of anyone more unfit" and "I would genuinely rather we didn't have a president at all".
For McGregor to run for presidency, he would need to be nominated by at least 20 members of the Oireachtas (TDs or Senators) or by at least four local authorities (county or city councils), both scenarios seem highly unlikely, reports the Irish Mirror.
Among those who responded to the survey was Fianna Fail TD Cathal Crowe, who stated: "There isn't a snowball's chance... he made a show of himself in Washington DC last week and with no elected mandate he certainly does not "speak for Irish people" when he travels overseas.Labour TD Duncan Smith added: "I could not think of anyone more unfit for public office. "
Fine Gael senator Garret Ahearn commented: "I genuinely would struggle to think of anyone worse to hold that position."
