Common Market Belfast assault leaves man with facial injuries

A man has been left with facial injuries following an assault at a Belfast food market over the weekend.

At around 10.45pm on Saturday, December 21, a man was assaulted by a number of people inside a licensed premises in Belfast city centre, understood to be Common Market on Dunbar Street.

The victim sustained injuries to his neck, face, and body in the attack. Police have issued an appeal for information following the incident.

Sergeant Green said: “At approximately 10.45pm, it was reported that the victim was assaulted by a number of people inside the venue and sustained injuries to his neck, face and body.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or to anyone with footage that could assist with our investigation, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 786 22/12/24.”
