4 months ago 275

Coleen Nolan has shared insights into how her close friend and Loose Women colleague Ruth Langsford is managing post-split from Eamonn Holmes.

Coleen, who holds Ruth in high regard both professionally and personally, expressed her support during this challenging time.

She remarked: "Ruth is one of my best friends. Me and Ruth are always texting and phoning, and if the show ended tomorrow, I know we'd still be friends."

Discussing Ruth's approach to her divorce, Coleen continued: "She's been amazing. I'm not one to give advice, but I've just been there when she's wanted to vent or wanted to just talk about it. I really admire her, she's been so classy through the whole thing and just got on with it."

Coleen also commented on Ruth's transformation, saying: "She's also had such a glow-up. She looks better than I think I've seen her in years, she looks like she's lost 10 years. Not that she didn't look great before, but now she looks fabulous and she's working really hard and she's just getting on with it."

The two have reportedly been supporting each other after both experienced personal heartaches, with Coleen recently ending her relationship with Michael Jones and facing the sorrowful loss of her sister Linda. Linda Nolan died aged 65 from secondary breast cancer, surrounded by loved ones, reports Lancs Live.

Coleen Nolan opened up to the Mirror about the heart-wrenching loss of her sister, Linda. She revealed that she and her sisters Anne, 74, Denise, 72, and Maureen, 69, were by Linda's side during her final moments.

Coleen shared: "My daughter Ciara and I sat with her and we said everything we needed to say to each other. She told us how much she loved us and we told her we loved her. I think she knew it would be the last time she'd see us, but there were no tears."

Despite suffering from double pneumonia and being on oxygen, Linda maintained her sense of humour, cracking jokes and enjoying chocolates brought by visitors. She was also keen to hear about Coleen's new grandson, with Coleen showing her numerous photos.

Coleen also disclosed Linda's poignant last words to her as she left the room for the final time. "When I left that evening, I told her I'd come and visit the next day and she said, "Oh, you don't have to" and I said, "I know, but I will" and then she said, 'Col, I really love you'," the TV presenter recalled.

Following Linda's passing, Coleen has shared details of her sister's funeral, which will reflect her showbiz life, including a departure from the traditional black coffin.

Coleen explained: "Her coffin is pure showbiz – bright pink and sparkly, just as she wanted. The one thing my sister loved was bling – her trainers had bling on them, her handbags, her tops, her walking stick – so it feels right that she has a glittery pink coffin."
