IDAHO FALLS — Dr. Blake Wachter, a local cardiologist and president of the Idaho Heart Foundation, and Jacob Gilbert, the foundation’s vice president and a heart transplant survivor, are joining the Riverbend Awareness Project this month to discuss heart health and the Idaho Heart Foundation.
Wachter and Gilbert both have a particular passion for heart health due to their own personal experiences, and they have applied this passion to their work with the Idaho Heart Foundation. The foundation raises funds to provide AEDs and Lucas devices to first responders throughout the community. They also shared the importance of CPR training and how taking action quickly can save lives.
