A man has been refused bail after appearing in court charged with a range of offences connected to an alleged campaign of domestic abuse.
Mark Sell, 35, who is originally from West Belfast but had a listed address of Grove Street, Lisburn, appeared via video link from prison at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday, November 25, where he faced 15 charges for a range of offences that took allegedly place between August 2022 and January 2024.
These include charges of non-fatal strangulation or asphyxiation, assault causing actual bodily harm, threats to kill, criminal damage, dangerous driving, improper use of public communications, resisting police and assaulting a police officer.
The court also heard that it was aware of two potential breaches of bail conditions with regards to the offences, however these are yet to be dealt with.
No pleas regarding the case were made at the hearing with an application for bail being refused due to the defendant being liable to commit further offences.
The case has now been adjourned to Craigavon Crown Court on December 16, 2024.
