AMMON —- After six years of service, city of Ammon City Council Member Craig Tibbitts has resigned.
In a news release, Ammon Mayor Sean Coletti said Tibbitts resigned on Feb. 15 to focus on his role as the Bonneville County Treasurer.
“Craig Tibbitts has gone above and beyond in his service to the city of Ammon on the City Council,” Coletti said. “He has provided a voice of reason and volunteered extra time to help move Ammon forward in a positive direction. We will miss him and are very grateful for his service.”
Coletti is accepting applications in the form of letters of interest and resumes from Ammon residents interested in filling the vacant seat. Interested applicants may email a cover letter and resume to the Mayor at [email protected]. Applications will be accepted until March 1.
The current term of the seat vacated by Tibbitts concludes on Dec. 31, 2025. According to Idaho Statute, Coletti will appoint a qualified elector to finish the four-year term. The seat would be up for election on its regular cycle in November 2025 for a standard four-year term.
