A Frederick, Maryland, man is facing 12 drug-related charges after a month-long undercover narcotics investigation in Frederick County.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 22-year-old Marcus McRae on August 10.

The arrest comes after an extensive undercover investigation that started in July 2022, according to deputies. Deputies and officers successfully served a search warrant at the 1800 block of Greenspring Place in Frederick.

The warrant was the result of the investigation identifying McRae who was selling crack cocaine and powdered cocaine throughout the county.

McRae faces charges of multiple counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics, distribution charges, paraphernalia possession charges and illegal possession of ammunition.

“Our undercover agents worked diligently to get this local cocaine dealer off the streets,” said Lieutenant Sedat Caliskan, FCSO Narcotics Unit commander. “Through their hard work, we were able to successfully detain McRae without incident.”
