IDAHO FALLS– A traffic stop results in a 19-year-old being charged with drug trafficking charges after police find over five pounds of marijuana and other narcotics at his house.

Kameron Glenn Faulkner of Idaho Falls was charged with two felony drug trafficking counts for marijuana and cocaine, two felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver or manufacture, felony delivery of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

If Faulkner is found guilty, he faces a mandatory minimum of three years to life and a mandatory minimum of $10,000 to $50,0000.

An officer with the Idaho Falls Police Department stopped a vehicle on Thursday in an alley behind the 300 block of K Street, according to the probable cause affidavit. During a search of the vehicle, officers found six vape pens with 9 grams of THC under the front passenger seat, along with a handgun.

The affidavit says there were two passengers in the vehicle. The driver told the officer that a man in the alley gave them the products and they were supposed to sell them. He gave them the gun to protect the products.

The officer reported that the man selling the THC products was Faulkner, due to prior investigations at a house on K Street. On Friday, a search warrant was served and the following was found inside:

833.7 grams of raw marijuana 571.45 grams of THC wax 820.95 grams of THC edibles 302 grams of THC in vape cartridges 19.05 grams of psilocybin mushrooms 276.95 grams of psilocybin edibles 30.8 grams of cocaine 185 LSD tablets 1.55 grams of suspected ketamine $9,828 in cash Scales Drug Paraphernalia (Glass bongs, pipes, grinders and rolling paper) A pill bottle that contained 2 tablets of Zolpidem Tartrate, 2.75 tablets of Alprazolam and half a tablet of Lorazepam

The total weight of the marijuana and THC products was 5.57 pounds.

Faulkner was read his Miranda Rights and spoke with officers during the search. The 19-year-old was asked about the statements made by the individuals, and he responded that he did sell the THC products to them but did not give them a gun.

Faulkner is scheduled for a preliminary hearing with 7th Judicial District Magistrate Judge Tawnya Rawlings on March 14 at 1 p.m.

Though Faulkner has been charged with these crimes, it does not necessarily mean he committed them. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
