Shooting happened in 1400 block of Mercy Drive
ORLANDO, Fla. – One person was killed and two others were injured Tuesday in a shooting near an Orlando apartment complex that saw three separate shootings in a 10-day span last year.
Sky 6 flew over the scene and police tape could be seen at the Jernigan Gardens Apartments at 1488 Mercy Drive.
Police said officers responded around 1:15 p.m. in reference to the shooting and were able to locate three people who had been shot.
According to a news release, police said all three victims were taken to hospitals, where one of them was pronounced dead.
Police said a second person was expected to survive and the condition of the third person was not known.
The suspected shooter has not been identified, according to the release.

On Sept. 22, Orlando police responded to a shooting at the Jernigan Gardens Apartments that left three people injured and one dead.
Police said on Sept. 28, a man was shot and wounded at the same apartment complex.
And on Oct. 1, no injuries were reported after after a drive-by shooting at the complex.
