Man to appear in court charged with assault against schoolchildren in Co Tyrone

A 52-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with assaulting two schoolchildren in Co Tyrone.

A man is alleged to have assaulted two schoolchildren in Dungannon Park at around 11am on Thursday, April 10, by pushing them.

Police were called to the scene where a 52-year-old man was arrested. He has since been charged with two counts of common assault.

The man is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, May 7.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police investigating a report of assault of two schoolchildren in Dungannon Park this morning, Thursday 10th April, have charged a man to court.

"The 52-year-old man has been charged with two counts of common assault. He is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates' Court on 7th May.

"As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
