ITV Coronation Street pulled off air tonight in huge schedule shake-up

5 days ago 343

Coronation Street fans will have to adjust their viewing schedules as the popular soap won't be airing in its regular Friday night slot due to a significant reshuffle of ITV's timetable.

The beloved ITV soap was broadcasted on Thursday, April 3, instead, making room for the UEFA Women's Nations League match between England and Belgium.

However, viewers can catch up with the latest episode on ITVX before the next instalment, which is set to air as usual on Monday, April 7.

Emmerdale, on the other hand, will be screened earlier than usual at 7pm tonight due to the sports event, but will resume its normal 7.30pm slot on Monday.

This scheduling change may disappoint soap enthusiasts, who had to adapt to a similar reshuffle just last month because of the World Cup Qualifier, reports Plymouth Live.

All episodes for this week are already accessible on ITVX, promising plenty of drama from both Weatherfield and Emmerdale village.

Tyrone Dobbs and Kevin Webster

Tyrone Dobbs goes to see Kevin in the Rovers

In the upcoming week on Corrie, Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) is livid when his father Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) grounds him.

At the Rovers, Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) hesitates to serve Kevin, but he snaps at her before confronting Tyrone upon his arrival.

When Tyrone accuses him of being nasty and selfish, Kevin loses his temper. Abi Webster (Sally Carman) is outraged when she discovers Kevin's behaviour and shocked when he verbally attacks her with some harsh comments.

In the garage, Abi and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) discuss Kevin's dreadful conduct and how he seems to be intentionally trying to make them despise him.

Tyrone makes a visit to No. 13, encouraging Kevin to confront his fears, communicate with Abi, and start cherishing his family and friends.

Meanwhile in Emmerdale, Sarah Sugden (played by Katie Hill) distracts Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) long enough to swipe his car keys. This allows Kammy (Shebz Miah), acting on her instructions, to nick Cain's car from the garage for a joyride.

Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), oblivious to Sarah's involvement and having seen Kammy zoom off in Cain's car, alerts the police.

Not long after, PC Swirling stops Sarah on a rural road while she's behind the wheel of Cain's car.

Despite her initial bravado, Sarah is swiftly brought down a peg or two when Swirling insists on inspecting the boot.

Coronation Street is on ITV at 8pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
