POCATELLO — The Idaho State University football and soccer teams launched their 2025 seasons recently, with spring scrimmages.
Meaningful games will not be played until the fall, but the results seen on the field then begin as soon as the snow melts.
The Bengal women’s soccer team opened their spring game schedule with an April 5 match, at home, against Salt Lake Community College — which why won, 2-1. On Saturday, they hosted the College of Southern Idaho, and again won, 7-0.
Their 2025 regular season schedule has not yet been released, but it usually starts in mid-August.

The Bengal football team, coming off its best record (5-7) since the 2018 season — when they went 6-5 — got things going with an intersquad game, Saturday.
Behind returning contributors like running back Dason Brooks, wide receiver Ian Duarte and 2024 team-leading tackler linebacker Nathan Reynolds, ISU will look for its first winning record in seven year.
They open their regular season at Southern Utah University, on Aug. 30.
