EastEnders Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne 'have a lot to fight for' but friends say 'it's unlikely'

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne have set tongues wagging about a possible reunion after they were spotted enjoying what seemed to be a blissful family holiday, causing quite a stir among their circle of friends. The couple, parents to Ella, 10, and Mia, six, both shared snaps from their sunny getaway on social media last week, igniting speculation that they might be attempting to mend their relationship.

A source has reportedly told OK! Magazine that the duo is primarily trying to "work out what's best for their children" rather than focusing on reigniting the spark between them. "They both really care for each other, and they still want to do things as a family," the insider revealed.

"It's really hard when there are still strong feelings and also young kids, it's a really hard thing to navigate."

The source continued: "But they've been on such different paths and some of Jac's close friends don't see her future being with Dan. They think they'll be great co-parents but they want Jac - and Dan - to be the happiest they can be and they're not convinced that that means them being together.", reports the Mirror.

The pair began their romance in 2013 and tied the knot in 2017, though their marriage has been far from smooth-sailing, marred by persistent rumours of splits and infidelity involving 32 year old former TOWIE star Dan.

However, after braving numerous challenges together, they released a joint statement last month declaring the end of their marriage. The statement read: "Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye. They kindly ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this together. "Their children remain their top priority, surrounded by love and care from both parents - something that will never change.

Above all, Jacqueline and Dan have each other's and their children's best interests at heart. There will be no further comment.

"Yet, it seemed like they had managed to set aside personal feelings last week when they flew off with Ella, Mia and Dan's older son Teddy. Dan shared a video of himself strolling through a hotel with Mia, discussing Arsenal's match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid on Wednesday [April 6]. In a subsequent video, he was seen joyfully celebrating his team's 3-0 victory alongside Teddy and couldn't help but laugh about the sunburn on his face. Hours later, Jac shared a monochrome image of her embracing one of their daughters in the ocean, with the simple caption: "Besties", and then posted an early-bird picture of the sunrise, describing it as "Sunrise and gym".

The family getaway has stirred whispers of a possible patching up between the couple, with insiders suggesting that while their mutual friends remain sceptical about a full-scale reunion, they're open to possibilities, with a stance of "never say never."

But last week, it appeared they had managed to put their own feelings aside as they jetted off with Ella, Mia and Dan's older son, Teddy. Dan filmed himself walking through a hotel with Mia as they chatted about Arsenal's game with Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid last Wednesday [April 6].

In a later video, he celebrated his team's 3-0 win with Teddy - while laughing about his burned face from the sun. A few hours later, Jac posted a black and white photograph of her cuddling one of their daughters in the sea, with the caption: "There's a lot to fight for, and couples have come back from worse, so never say never, but some friends still think it's unlikely that they'll be able to really come back from everything that's happened. "

In 2018, Dan faced accusations of infidelity after being spotted on a yacht with Love Island's Gabby Allen shortly after their appearance on Celebrity Big Brother. However, both parties vehemently denied any wrongdoing. Following her triumphant win on I'm A Celebrity in 2019, Jacqueline expressed her desire to "restart" their relationship. She had previously confessed to putting Dan through "two years of hell" over the alleged cheating scandal.

Dan later responded to her interview, stating that some allegations were "true" while others were "very untrue" and pledged to be a devoted husband.

Despite their tumultuous past, our insider reveals that the couple's primary focus is on ensuring their children's happiness. "They always prioritise their kids' needs and strive to do what's best for them. So why shouldn't they enjoy a holiday together?

"If they're able to get on together as co-parents and make some happy family memories together even though they're separated, that's got to be a good thing."
