Singer Daniel O'Donnell has been forced to make a video telling fans that is not sick in hospital. It follows yet another online scam pretending to be the entertainer.

The Donegal singer has been forced to tell fans that he is well after fraudsters tried to claim he was ill.

Daniel took to his own social media pages, making a video appealing to fans not to engage with the scammers or send them money following the emergence of pictures claiming to be Daniel sick in hospital.

Daniel pleaded with fans "I'm just doing a wee message to let you know that I'm feeling very well. I've seen a few pictures up leading people to believe that I'm in hospital and very unwell with a picture of me and obviously that's a fake, 'doctored' picture telling people that I need help.

"So please ignore all of these things that you see on Facebook. I'm very well and I hope that you're well too.

"We can't do very much about these scammers but all we can do is to let you know not to engage with them, never, ever reply to them and, above all else, never send them money."

Fans of the star have been left horrified by the depths the scammers have sunk to in a bid to take money from some unsuspecting fans.

However, fans could not support Daniel on the post as his management were forced to turn off the comments on the video.

"I'm turning off comments so fake Daniel pages don't comment," said his assistant.
