Popular Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam was back in Sri Lanka last week for a rocking concert. This was the singer’s second visit to Sri Lanka after 2011. The show was organized by Cosmic Showtown (Pvt) Ltd.
Having infused Sri Lankan music culture with many internationally-acclaimed stars including Asha Bhosle, Hariharan, and Bathiya and Santhush through successful concerts in the past, Cosmic Showtown organized yet another concert on the requests by numerous fans.
Eventually, Sonu Nigam, the much loved singer of Bollywood, and the voice behind stars such as the Khans, Hrithik Roshan and many others was brought down to entertain Sri Lankan Bollywood fans.
Sonu Nigam’s profile includes a wide range of songs belonging to various genres including rock, pop, and romance. He has sung in numerous languages including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi and many more.
He started his musical journey at the tender age of three when he joined his father on stage to sing ‘Kya hua thera vada’. However, he first began to sing as a playback singer when he was 19. Sonu Nigam has performed in many countries including the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain and Australia.
