Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who had a successful Test series in Sri Lanka, scoring a fantastic 108, a fifty and taking four wickets, on Wednesday surprised his father by gifting him with a car.

Hardik Pandya took to Twitter to share a video of him presenting a car to his father. In the caption to his tweet, he wrote “So glad to see his face lit up like that. Yes this is the guy who should get all the happiness in life & deserves the credit, my dad! He was the one who left everything what he had for me & @krunalpandya_official and which takes a lot of courage to do.”

The 23-year-old Hardik had a debut to remember as he scored a maiden half-century on debut and followed that up with a 96-ball 108 in the third Test, which helped India reach a huge total of 487 in the first innings of the Pallekele Test.

Following his heroics in the Test series against Sri Lanka recently, India captain Virat Kohli had stated that Pandya’s selection was the biggest positive in the Test series, which the Men in Blue dominated throughout after clinching the series 3-0.

Sri Lanka showcased a below par performance after they suffered innings defeats in the second and third Tests, having lost the first Test by 304 runs, chasing a humongous target of 550. The two teams will now head to Dambulla, where they play the first of five ODIs, which ends on September 3. The ODIs will be followed by a one-off T20, which will take place on September 6 at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
