Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is to receive a whopping Rs.442 million every year for eight years from the International Cricket Council (ICC) in keeping with its revenue distribution programme for the period 2016 to 2023.
The decision was reached at the ICC’s Board and Committee meetings in Dubai this week under the revised financial model that was passed.
The England Cricket Board will receive 143 million US dollars and Zimbabwe 94 million US dollars over the eight year period.
The ICC’s newest financial model was passed by 13 votes to one at the meeting.
The ICC gets most of its revenue through the 50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy.
