Trinity College rugby team gets Access Group as  sponsors  for  the 1st XV rugby team for this year, earlier it was Land Rower sponsored for four years.  So, the new sponsors must be happy to see Trinity College maintaining their supremacy; they beat Wesley College in the opening game and today will meet  Science College in Colombo, the venue  and game is doubtful, earlier  it was said Havelock Park, later Ratmalana and now the   home team wants a postponement.

This season, Trinity College is led by  Nathan Chang with Anuka Boyagoda as  the vice-captain, Lasan Wijasuriya is shaping up well as a play maker,  and  are coached by Lote Raikabula, the  Fijian-born speedster was  a key play maker in the All Blacks Sevens and notched up a significant milestone in 2013 scoring his 100th World Series try at the London Sevens.  He has clocked up more than 60 tournaments since his debut in 2006, it was the Daily News which highlighted first his contract with Trinity College
