Oppo has added another charming smartphone to its fast-growing line-up. The device dubbed Oppo A57 was launched in China, recently, and packs a specs line-up that places it in a mid-budget category. The device also features a design that doesn’t look very much different from the Oppo R9S and R9S Pus launched recently.
The Oppo A57 comes sporting a 5.2-inch LCD with 2.5D curved glass on top to protect the screen from scratching. The display has HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). Powering the A57 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. There is also an Adreno 505 GPU powering the graphics and backing up the processor is an ample 3GB of RAM. The smartphone also comes with 32GB of internal storage space which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The A57 runs the all new CioloOS 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow which was unveiled recently. Also, there is a decent 2900mAh battery under the hood to keep the light on. The device also comes with dual SIM/dual standby support as well as a host of connectivity options.
Talking about the camera, the Oppo A57 sports a powerful 16-megapixel camera at the rear which also has a f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, laser focus and LED flash. The device does not disappoint either on the front camera, packing a 13-megapixel front-facing camera which can also be used for video chats aside capturing alluring selfies.
The Oppo A57 comes in Gold and Rose Gold colours, two colour variants that are very familiar on Oppo’s smartphones. As for the price, the A57 carries a retail price of around $231.
