Dharmaraja College, Kandy

Dharmaraja College organised their annual colours awards ceremony a few days ago to celebrate the achievements of students. The event took place on December 2 (Friday) at the School Hall. The chief guest was Sarath Ekanayake Chief Minister Central Province.

Nandana Kanakarathne, an old boy of the school who excelled in cricket in the mid 1970s, was the guest of honour.

During the colours awarding ceremony, students who excelled in sports like cricket, athletics, boxing and swimming were honoured.

Dargoba is the most prestigious award a sportsman can achieve at Dharmaraja College. It is awarded to a sportsman who has made outstanding achievements in his field of sport. Colours were also awarded to other players who made significant contributions in the sporting arena.
