Sri Lanka again made history at the 89th General Assembly of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) took place in Fujairah from October 17 to 23. Jade Bolling, aged 13, a newly appointed LPA ambassador, attended the assembly to give a presentation about her Junior Power boat training.

This is the first time that Sri Lanka has been asked to take part in the Assembly and the first child to present in front of the UIM committee.

During her stay in Fujairah, Jade was asked to demonstrate her newly acquired skills alongside junior prospects at Fujairah Marine Club, in front of an esteemed audience, including the Prince of Fujairah, President of the UIM and the sports minister.

The Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), founded in 1922, is the world’s governing body for Power boating. The UIM governs all Power boating disciplines and the Lanka Powerboat Association (LPA) represents the UIM here in Sri Lanka.
