The 11th International Writers’ Festival-India (An International Conference of Poets, Writers and Scholars) was held on October 14 and 15 at Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, organized by the India Inter-Continental Cultural Association, Chandigarh/Kafla Intercontinental. The venue of the festival was Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.The co-organiser of this event was Department of English, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The main theme of the Festival was ‘Literature and World Peace’ with special focus on VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM (the whole world is one family). The participants were from countries such as Bangladesh, Canada, Egypt, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Uzbekistan and from all the states of India.
On both days, there were several sessions for presentation of papers, poetry readings, discussions and book launches. There was also singing and music and a ceremony honouring members and distribution of certificates.
