The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has appointed a seven-member committee headed by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva to study the report of the Committee On Public Enterprises (COPE) on the Central Bank bond scam.

The committee is expected to study the findings and recommendations of the report and submit its own report to President Maithripala Sirisena.

Meanwhile, United National Party (UNP) General Secretary, Kabir Hashim addressing a media briefing today said the COPE report had been referred to the Attorney General.

The COPE report which was tabled in Parliament on Friday (28) held former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran responsible for the Bond Scam.
