Top ranked Kaewchareon from Thailand cruised through to the semi-final and will meet Sisira Kumara of Sri Lanka at the 129th Sri Lanka Amateur Golf Championship being played at the Victoria Golf & Country Resort golf course up to Thursday October 20.
Kaewchareon brushed aside Husni Uwise also of Sri Lanka in the quarter-final. Second ranked Namuangruk also of Thailand entered the semi-final when he defeated Harimohan Singh of India.

Arumugam beat Amarapathma 1 up in a tight quarter-final all Sri Lankan encounter.
Earlier, Arumugam created a mild upset defeating the in-form Sanjeewa 3/2 in the second round.

It will be an all Thailand final in the ladies event as well with top ranked Apichaya Yubol beating Gurjot Badwal of India 2 & 1 with the Indian giving a determined performance. In the other semi-final M. Zeemakorn over powered Taniya Minel of Sri Lanka who were all square up to the 11th hole. But Zeemakorn ended up winning the match on 4 & 3.
