Western Province South Outer emerged Prima under-15 inter-Provincial cricket tournament champions when they beat Western Province Central on the first innings in the final played at the SSC ground last week.

WP South Outer scored 302 for nine wickets in 92.2 overs. Lower order batsman Kavindu Umayanga top scored with 122 runs inclusive of two sixes and 16 boundaries. Skipper Kamil Minhara chipped in with a useful 72 runs.

Western Province Central were bowled out for 148 all out in 47.1 overs.

Lahiru Madushanka bowled best to capture five wickets for 41 runs off 13 overs.
