Clinton Vs Trump
The US Presidential debate took the world by storm when Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump clashed on ideologies and issues of policy at the first of three debates.
The debate hogged most of the trending topics on Twitter, with many mocking the illogical answers that the latter gave, becoming the most tweeted debate ever. Some of the gaffes included Trump denying that he claimed the Chinese were behind the climate change hoax, which was proven wrong with a tweet that was still on his account.
In addition, Clinton was interrupted many times while Trump left questions unanswered. The sheer amount of ridiculous statements being thrown around had Clinton saying at one point “that’s a — that’s — go to the — please, fact checkers, get to work.” While the memes flowed thick and fast, many tweeps and others on social media were deeply disturbed at the quality of the debate and the choice that their country was facing. CNN concluded that Clinton won by 64 per cent at the end of the debate.

NASA changed star signs?
Confusion was sparked among users of the internet when it was reported that NASA had changed the star signs – effectively changing the star sign of many. A Cosmopolitan writer got hold of a NASA article directed at children that explained the origins of the star signs – noting that the stars have moved since the ancient Babylonians first marked their signs. The writer then went on to insinuate that NASA had thus effectively changed all the star signs which led many to voice their anger and regret on social media sites, including one user who lamented the fact that she had the wrong star sign tattooed on her. NASA, however, was quick to point out that they focused solely on astronomy and not astrology, and the fact that the stars had moved was just that – fact, and that they had nothing to do with the star signs.
