Winners came up with comprehensive margins on the first day of the Prima Under-15 cricket tournament played in six venues on September 20.

Southern Province routed Eastern Province by 216 runs while Western Province North defeated Western Province North by five wickets.

North Western Province also had an emphatic win by seven wickets over Northern Province. This game saw bowlers dominate with Gayantha Wickramarachchi capturing 5 wickets for just 9 runs and Kavindu Ranasinghe claiming 4 wickets for just 17 runs as Northern Province were bundled out for 108 runs.

Southern Province made the highest total of 285 for 8 wickets with three batsmen scoring half centuries. Eastern Province were bowled out for 69 runs with Sandun Mendis capturing five wickets for six runs.

Lasitha Werallagama top scored with 85 not out as Central Province scored 262 for 6. They had North Central Province wrapped up for 128 runs.
