Sri Lanka will receive assistance from the United States Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), after it had chosen the country for its Threshold Programme.

MCC Chief Executive Officer, Dana J Hyde who met President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday at the Loews Regency Hotel had informed him that a team of MCC representatives was already in Sri Lanka.

The team would prepare a feasibility report, which will be presented to the MCC Board of Directors in December.

The Board will then decide on projects to be implemented in Sri Lanka.
