The 26th annual FACETS Gem and Jewellery Show concluded at the BMICH last week. The four-day exhibition where over 200 local and foreign exhibitors showcased their wares was graced by President Maithripala Sirisena as the chief guest along with a number of MPs, representatives of the Diplomatic Co, members of the National Gem & Jewellery Authority and the Export Development Board as well as buyers and other special invitees.
The main goal of a special Premier Jewellery Pavilion was the targeting of premium high-profile local and international clientele while the Gem and Jewellery Mart served the purpose of focusing the spotlight on small and medium jewellery enterprises.

All collections showcased at the exhibition displayed Sri Lanka’s vast variety of magnificent gemstones; the workmanship of the highly-skilled local artisans; and its unique and trendsetting international designs. The show also featured specialized exhibits by gem dealers, lapidarists, exporters, wholesalers, manufacturers, and retailers as well as machinery, equipment, tools, laboratory and certification services and
educational and training services.
