The Young Chartered Accountants Forum (YCAF) Governing Council for the year 2016/17 was appointed recently with Chartered Accountant Ms. Vindya Cooray being at the helm and heading the Forum as its new President. The aim of YCAF is to provide a platform for young members to develop their leadership and entrepreneurial skills by conducting various programmes in these areas and providing them opportunities to network with their fellow colleagues.

President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) Lasantha Wickremasinghe speaking at the General Assembly of YCAF emphasized that every country, organization and family needs a younger generation to continue its existence and the same applies to a profession.

“To ensure the continued progression of our profession, we need highly intelligent and skilled members for our existence, and our profession has been truly fortunate to have both intelligence and skills in our young members,” he told members of the YCAF which comprises chartered accountants who are below 40 years of age.
