Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to leave for Singapore to participate at the two-day Indian Ocean Conference. today.
The conference organised by the India Foundation will be held from tomorrow till Friday. The event will be co-hosted by Institute of Policy Studies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies Singapore.
The conference would see the attendance of leaders and distinguished delegates from over 15 countries in the Indian Ocean Region.
Several leaders including Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Ahamad Zahid Bin Hamidi, the former president of Maldives, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, and US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Nisha Biswal will take part at the conference.
