The inaugural event of the third edition of Lanka Plast and Rubexpo was held at the BMICH recently. The series has expanded from its original “two exhibition nature” to an event of four parallel exhibitions this year, with the introduction of packaging and manufacturing sector expos. Exhibitors from India, China, Taiwan and Germany took part at the event which was declared open by Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rishad Bathiudeen. Deputy High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Arindam Bagchi, President of Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL) M.T. Pringiers, and PRISL Vice President Kaushal Rajapaksa were also among the distinguished invitees at the event.
