The Navy rescued four Indian fishermen in distress and were drifting in the Western seas of Sri Lanka yesterday.

The Navy said that their fishing boat was down with an engine failure.

“Having towed the boat along with the fishermen to the Dikowita Fisheries Harbour, they were provided with food and necessary fist-aid by the Navy,” the Navy said.

Moreover steps were immediately taken to repair the malfunctioned engine and the fishermen were scheduled to be taken and released at the International Maritime Boundary Line today (9).
