The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the terror attack on a hospital in Quetta, Pakistan last night.
“SriLanka condemns attack on hospital in Quetta, Pakistan.Thoughts and prayers with victims, n families n friends of those affected,” the Ministry said in its twitter handle.
At least 70 people were killed and scores injured due to a suicide bomb attack on a hospital last night.
Reports said that the attacker had targeted a crowd that had gathered as the body of a prominent lawyer murdered earlier on Monday, Bilal Kasi, was being brought in.
The Taliban faction, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, said it was behind both the hospital attack and the killing of Kasi.
