Former Minister Johnston Fernando arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (CoI) this morning.

Fernando was summoned to record a statement with regard to the allegation of importing 60,000 MT of rice for Sathosa without Cabinet approval.

Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Rohitha Abeygunawardena has also been summoned by the CoI to record a statement over alleged misuse of public funds at the water filling ceremony and opening of the Hambantota harbor in 2010.

Abeygunawardena was the Project Minister of Ports and Highways at the time.
